@socialdistancewarrior9099 Those that live on reserves and vote, are doing so for matters of the reserve. What you're suggesting is basically like having Vancouver vote yes to a pipeline that goes through the Yukon.

The only justification offered is that the reserve leadership, which does not govern the unceded territory the pipeline goes through, and which only exists bc indigenous people were forced off their land and onto reserves designed to destroy their culture, said yes...the same authority that was created by force, that is held hostage to this day by controlling their money, is being treated as the sole authority for land it is not even allowed to control.
