  1. The sunk cost fallacy says it was going to be F-35s only after the initial commitment was made. Other buyers marginally drives down the costs to 'slightly less of a massive overpayment' for something that doesn't fit our needs. NATO "obligations" are expectations that most members have shirked for decades. We are not sending fighters to Ukraine so it would be more productive to just buy weapons for them.

  3. The flip flop still merits focus. They were elected on the promise to get us a better option. They had years to do it. This didn't just happen. It was a calculated mishandling.
