  5. It's not a national popular vote. Picking the better NDP candidate in your riding isn't a mistake. Canadians need to stop acting like all is foretold before voting begins, and in this case before the election has even been called. It was all doom and gloom, the Cons would coast to victory. Then that changed and it can change again. If you prefer working class policies then give the NDP more support, rather than falling to the circular reasoning of 'they don't have enough support so I won't support them'.

  6. Engagement can be more than just voting. The fate of any party is decided by campaigns. Volunteering, donating, or just spreading the word can make a difference too.

  8. It wasn't complacency. Democrats campaigned like they were the opposition to their own economy. They leaned right, becoming even more ambiguous. Then more Americans showed up, again, to vote 'NO' on the economy. What's happening now is that the Liberals get to campaign as the opposition because of Chump. They received a free win condition. Before that they were doing the same thing as the Democrats and tanking. People REALLY need to learn the correct lesson here: oppose the economy. When you aren't the opposition by default that means you have to criticize it from the left, which you should be doing anyway.
