  2. "Let's work together" seems to involve an awful lot of unilateral concessions, aka appeasement. It doesn't work when dealing with authoritarians, nationalists, or traditionalists and the GOP is all three. The sad part is that there always useful idiots on the left. First they block solutions then say that the system cannot work, therefore it's got to go. And I don't just mean the neoliberals that infect both sides of the aisle. I mean the idiots that advocate for revolution by only ever talking about how things are bad and don't work, while shooting down every individual step in the right direction. It's easy to complain. It's easy to be against something. But a better system can't be built by reduction. It has to actually get built.
