Plenty did, there's always a huge level of SILENCE around these abusers, they are so clever, they are charming, in a high position in society, ie radio with a wide audience, people looked up to him. Pedo's charm their young victims, use money, sweets, cigs, alcohol to create a bond, it's grooming, their victim learns to trust them enjoys being the attention of an adult who doesn't put constraints on them, treats them as if they are older. It's psychological abuse before the sexual abuse. The fear comes in when they threaten exposure of the sex, they make the victim feel they were the 'seducer', the one who will be seen in a bad light if the abuse is exposed. Other people who suspect there's something not right are reluctant to say anything in case their wrong, so until one victim speaks out it all goes under a Veil of silence. When one victim speaks out, you will find more victims.

@BrendaCarey-m9u it always is, that's the saddest part, victims are terrorized, and those who suspect are terrorized, they don't have the info/evidence they need to go forward with a complaint and victims are all at different stages of healing, there are some who refuse to acknowledge that the abuse never happened, that's their way of coping, others get help but little was available back then, others cope with drink and drugs, all at different stages of healing so it's hard when one heals and speaks out and the others are not at that stage, too try to coerce them before their ready could cause more trauma and damage them more, it's never an easy crime to deal with.
