The people vaccinated early in Israel were old or frail. You’d expect lesser immunity

Your enthusiasm is misplaced. Supplementation is poorly documented and optimal intake is based on an American endocrinologist who campaigned for higher doses based on nothing more than his intuition. Oprah underwrote him. Naturally , the pharmaceutical industry joined the movement enthusiastically. Vit D can be toxic in overdose. It’s used as a rat poison You pay no attention to how “ normal” levels are determined. It’s very murky science

@michaeldeath7430 No , all I see is a commentator unable to see nuance and simplistically takes absolutist positions. I’m looking at you Michael. First , antibodies are only part of the immune response. T cell memory was not discussed. But is very important. In addition , whatever protection , albeit less than 100 per cent , is still worth having.

@michaeldeath7430 PS. Don’t use the word “ irony” when you mean “inconsistency”

Why is there mass mortality in India where ivermectin is actually manufactured?

He’s conflating AstraZenica and Pfizer data

Queensland hospitalises everyone
1
Using hospitalisation as an end point is wobbly and subjective. Decision to hospitalise is influenced by a host of factors. In Yemen for instance the rate of hospitalisation is close to zero. haha

Chinese vaccine less effective. Who would have thought?
1
People vaccinated early have a longer exposure to virus compared to recent vaccinated people
1
He glided past the most interesting stat. UK up 10 per cent.infections. Why? Vaccine failures? Co morbidities? The aged? If vaccinated are these people with waning immunity? No answers
1
So many logical failures. Please review. The mistakes are obvious
1
It’s not new cases per day. It’s positivity per tests done

Sir, your assertion that vaccination will stop spread of Delta is erroneous. Pfizer offers only around 30 or 40 per cent. protection against infection albeit with a lesser viral load. This will have little effect in stopping spread

Symptoms are very subjective English stiff upper lip ? More phlegmatic?

How can there be data for 9;weeks if second dose is given at 3 weeks for Pfizer.

From the RACGP Australian College of General Practitioners Discussion Vitamin D assays are inconsistent and inaccurate and there is weak evidence around the level of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) that is optimal. Evidence of links between vitamin D deficiency and disease come from observational studies and there is little support from randomised controlled trials of vitamin D supplementation. Where there is evidence of a link, increased risk is largely confined to very low 25(OH)D levels, with minimal health gains for 25(OH)D levels greater than 50 nmol/L. New evidence indicates that both high and low 25(OH)D levels may be associated with increased health risks. Taken together these considerations present a considerable challenge to clinical decision-making around treatment on the basis of 25(OH)D levels.

Australian states do quarantine and contact tracing. The Federal Government procures vaccines. Hence , the outcome differences

You need to adjust for the 1.4 billion population of India The figures are bad but not as unadjusted figures
1
Symptomatic infection. is a nebulous term. It very much is determined by the assiduity of the interviewer
1
Anything published by China must first have been vetted by their political masters As the Delta variant originated in India it is in Chinese interest to draw attention away from their own culpability

@michaeldeath7430 No, that’s an amusing paradox. Irony is where I say that I detect in you a very astute intellect that is capable of cutting through clutter in a way that us ordinary folk cannot
1
@michaeldeath7430 I will let you rejoice in your smug belief that you said something really clever.
