The US talks a lot about freedom of speech, but when a bishop lovingly asks the president to consider minorities, she is called "nasty" and has to apologize! Even comedians who make jokes about the president, who is also a convicted criminal, are threatened. It is not in Europe that hundreds of thousands of books are banned from schools. In Europe you may not be allowed to walk around with Nazi flags or give the Hitler salute behind the presidential seal like you can in the US and that is a good thing because we KNOW our history and we are not ashamed to remember our dark pages, not like in the US where they ban CRT. JD Vance also says somewhere in his speech that we share the same values... If he knows anything about Europe, he should know that is nonsense. That may have been true to some extent in the past, but let us be very clear... in Europe WE DO NOT SHARE YOUR CHRISTIAN NATIONALIST VALUES. We are not interested in a theocracy. The word of God is not above the law here and we want to keep it that way. Maybe a European politician should travel to the US after yet another school shooting and give a speech about abolishing their crazy 2nd amendment? Or saying they should embrace abortion? Or that a hospital bill will cost you your home? Maybe he should start his speech by saying that a country with a president who is a convicted felon is coming to speak to us about democracy and justice.
