That is called Corporatocracy, which is the result of a Mixed economy system.

@hazardousjazzgasm129 : This has nothing to do with being smart. This is about facts.
2
Makes no sense whatsoever, considering Fascism was a revolutionary movement.
2
@uncomplicatedi : What you described there has very little to do with with Fascism, which was an Italian ideology. They didn't idolize the past per se, only the Roman empire, and its traditions etc.
2
There has never been Fascism in the US, and there never will be.
1
Nothing to do with Fascism whatsoever. Also Fascism and Liberalism are ideological and philosophical enemies.
1
There has never been Fascism in America, and there never will.
1
Fascism has never been a thing in the America, and it never will. Please stop enforcing "ignorant American" stereotype and thus stop using words that you do not understand. You are not mentally equipped to have this kind of a conversation.
1
Neither Hedges nor Parenti have a clue about Fascism. If you want to research Fascism, then look for actual historical and primary sources.
1
This has nothing to do with Fascism whatsoever.
1
Marxism is about class war, not Fascism though.
1
There is no "rise of Fascism" in America. There has never been Fascism in America, and there never will.
1
There is no Fascism in any country. It hasn't been a thing since the WW2 era.
1
@HughTube-ni6kb : The only country where Neo-Fascism is still a thing, is Argentina, and the movement advocating for it is known as Peronism.
1
Fascism had nothing to do with Capitalism whatsoever.
1
There has never been Fascism in the US, and there never will.
1
"“Fascism is the bastard child of a bankrupt liberalism.”." Makes no sense whatsoever, as Fascism and Liberalism were ideological and philosophical enemies. If anything, Fascism was the bastard child of Marxism.
1
Nothing to do with Fascism.
1
National Syndicalism and the failure of Marxist-Leninism are not exactly connected to the Industrial revolution though. Assuming you are referring to how Fascism came into being.
1
Nothing to do with Right wing.
1
@SCS-1964 : You should stop using words that you do not understand.
1
@grb1969 : Technically it was both revolutionary and reactionary.
1
@hazardousjazzgasm129 : What was wrong exactly?
1
@KW49024 : You have no clue what you are talking about. Simple as that. Education is not the same thing as apologia. Learn the difference.

@damienflinter4585 "since Benito defined it as the marriage of corporatism and the state" To be fair, this is a common American misquote created by random guy named Adam McKay, as Mussolini has never said such a thing. Corporatism was the method how Fascism managed its socialist Command economy. There was no such marriage, however there was a thing called 'class collaboration'.

Nothing is "unchecked" in any country. Almost everything is heavily regulated by governments.
1
So called "unbridled capitalism" i.e. Laissez-faire economics hasn't been a thing in any country and no country today has such a thing. Markets are heavily regulated in every country by their governments, which is why technically, Capitalism is not a thing in the first place. Every modern country has a Mixed economy system.
1
@maddogwillie1019 : and that is called Corporatocracy, which is the result of a Mixed economy system ... i.e. too many restrictions and not enough Capitalism due to Government interfering with the Market.
