  3.  @frost1183  : Basic math and economics not proof enough for you? Obviously it won't work in the long run, since you incentivize people to not work. The higher the UBI, the more you make low wage jobs that are still necessary, more expensive for the businesses, which will result in higher prices etc for the consumers. Regardless, you only create a situation where it's more profitable for individuals to stay home and not get certain jobs... which translates into private sector not generating enough money overall for the nation, which means your government is putting more money into the system than it is getting back from it, creating inflation.
