"joys? of being german, is looking at established brands, manufacturerers, corporations etc around you, and being reasonably certain that probably all of them have some type of n azi history if they existed in that time. VW? Check. Adidas? Check. Steel manufacturers? Check. BMW? Check. sadly, at this point, you can just presume that old german brands etc were involved with the naz is in some way or another, even if its ""just"" using slave labour from the prison camps. " Don't you just love it when the government comes in and tells you, that you have to work for them now... ah, the joys of socia lism.

"if they weren't obviously still a profit-driven capit alist business in N azi Germ any." They weren't. Profiteering was controlled and most if not all the profits went to the government. "Most cruel joke of all, however, has been played by Hi tler & Co. on those German capitali sts and small businessmen who once backed National Social ism as a means of saving Germany's bourgeois economic structure from radicalism. The Naz i credo that the individual belongs to the state also applies to business. Some businesses have been confiscated outright, on others what amounts to a capital tax has been levied. Profits have been strictly controlled. Some idea of the increasing Governmental control and interference in business could be deduced from the fact that 80% of all building and 50% of all industrial orders in Germany originated last year with the Government. Hard-pressed for foodstuffs as well as funds, the Na zi regime has taken over large estates and in many instances collectivized agriculture, a procedure fundamentally similar to Rus sian Com munism." The only thing they try to hide... is the fact that those companies were owned and run by NS DAP members or the govern ment directly, and then pretending it wasn't socia lism.
