@patbenz4327 : John Locke was technically the father of Liberalism, which is nowadays called as Classical Liberalism thanks to the American leftists who think their progressive Statism is somehow similar to Liberalism. Back in his days, people who would have advocated for free market capitalism, civil liberties and freedoms were considered to be on the Left. Oh well, thanks to socialists we cannot have nice things, like a proper political spectrum.

@patbenz4327 : Nothing to do with Right wing of any kind. Ethnonationalism and nationalism in general are Leftist traits, both are forms of collectivism.

@patbenz4327 "Traditional right promotes the assimilation of other cultures to the main culture (it's inclusive)." Wrong. They do not. Right doesn't care what kind of a culture you have, as long as you do not try to trample other people's cultures, hence the motto, "live and let live".

@patbenz4327 "Sounds pretty 'far right' to me!" That is closer to Far-Left, which again, revolves around collectivism. Meanwhile people on the right believe that the best outcome for society is achieved when individual rights and civil liberties are paramount (individualism) and the role — and especially the power — of the government is minimized.

@patbenz4327 "You're conflating freedom (live and let live) with liberalism (power of the government is minimized), and with right wing ideology." They are the same thing. Liberalism and Classical Liberalism specifically, are (Far) Right wing ideologies in contrast to Socialist ideologies that are on the (Far) Left.

@patbenz4327 : "I think you need to grab a book (respectfully)" Already have. I highly recommend starting from the book called "Two Treatises of Government" by John Locke.

@cyberfunk3793 They would be on the Far-Left.
1
@cyberfunk3793 : Wrong. Fascism by definition was a totalitarian far-left, socialist 3rd position ideology based on National Syndicalism which they adapted from a French Marxist, known as Georges Sorel.

Nothing to do with Far-Right though.
