I do wonder one thing. Is it really fair to compare the interwar years with post war years? The Great Depression happened during peacetime and not during war time. The 1946 depression happened after the war, when the entire world was bombed and destroyed. I see it as rather obvious that the economy took much longer to recover and it might have been worse then during the great depression, but is the 1946 depression put in contrast to the rest of the world? The US might have been worse of, but was it worst of compared to the Soviets and Europe?
