  1. She is talking about UK law which defines r*p3 as penetration with a penis. In the UK a woman can be charged with sexual assault of a man, but not with r*p3 as it is legally defined.

  3. All those men who are 'far more likely to stop' a killer did nada to stop Sutcliffe. He was, finally, caught by the police, who probably would have had an easier time clocking him as a wrong'un if he had been out and about after a a curfew.

It disgusts me to see all the columnists wringing their hands over the number of women who have been murdered this year while they resolutely ignore Tickle v Giggle, which is a clear case of a man reacting in the way that the worst kind of men react to a woman telling them 'no'.

  7. An Ipsos and Global Institute for Women’s Leadership survey from 2022 found that in Australia 21% of men and 7% of women believe violence against women is often provoked by the victim. Certainly not the majority of men, but still one in five. I don't know how those numbers compare with the UK and elsewhere.
