  2. There was an article in the Sydney Morning Herald this week and a segment on Channel 10's The Project. All the articles I have seen on Australian media this week have been reasonably balanced as far as not taking sides goes, but they don't report even a tiny fraction of what Sall Grover has been subjected to. One good thing is that they are all publishing pictures of Roxanne Tickle, so at least the public can work out for themselves that this is a man demanding access to a women only space.

  3. I think you're right. The Federal Court magistrate hearing the case, Justice Robert Bromwich, has said, "I will be interpreting and applying the law as it exists. It's no part of my function to determine what the law should be." Assuming that he is referring to Australia's flawed Sex Discrimination Act (thank you, Julia Gillard) it seems likely that Giggle will lose. I hope I'm wrong.

  7. Oh please. The Boy Scouts of America voluntarily admitted girls because their rapidly falling membership was taking them on the path to annihilation. The rapidly falling membership was largely due to the toxic environment and widespread abuse of little boys when it was a male only organisation.

  9. She is appealing to the full bench of the Federal Court. It is expected to be heard in August 2025. Tickle is also appealing Justice Bromwich's decision - he wants the finding that he was 'indirectly' discriminated against changed to 'directly', and he wants a larger payment.

  10. He was accepted by the AI initially. He could have got a woman friend to provide a selfie for him. Either way he could have lurked to his heart's content. His finding out Sall Grover's personal phone and email details and contacting her on them makes it pretty clear that he was looking for a fight.

  12. Something like this is already happening in Canada where Melody Wiseheart, a trans identifying man in his 50s, has been allowed to compete against teenage girls in swimming competitions AND use their changing room.

  14. I don't believe that Julia Gillard personally tinkered with the Sex Discrimination Act. She was never particularly LGTBQ++WTF friendly - she opposed same sex marriage. The tinkering did take place under her watch, though, so she should take responsibility.

If you listened to the interview, Sall said that the mediation imposed the following conditions on her: she had to allow Tickle and any other trans identifying man who wanted to join onto the app; she had to undergo sex and gender re-education; and she had to have moderators on the app to ensure that no woman was allowed to say anything that might offend a trans identifying man. I find it hard to understand how you would consider any of that to be a method that works very well.
