I think .. your furious anger at historical bullshit is both amusing and .. probably even partially correct :) if you were curious as ti the sources of Gladiator .. theres this older film "Fall of the Roman Empire" (1964) that more informs that script than any annoying factoids from historians .. I gotta say Gladiator is a much better stab at that script, no question at all .. maybe Gladiator can be viewed as History in the sense that is a part of the glorious History of Hollywood?
