  1. My father was a holocaust survivor from the Minsk ghetto. At the time he was 14. He escaped and fought the nazis for several years as a partisan. After war he became a prominent mountain climber and phd in physiology. He was 5' tall in adulthood, yet his american friends would say about him that he stood on shoulders of giants.
