Too many years of whiteguilt brainwashing (and edits of actual history) have gone by unabated & too many years of Affirmative Action have entitled the worst to advance into power postions where they ABUSE that power over others & make big bucks doing it. Really - the propaganda psyop goes back to WWII with political correctness being shoved into politics & language- essentially shredding open & honest debate & the 1st Amendment along with that. The "protected classes" created the old caste system as well, over time everyone EXCEPT white, Christians & heterosexuals were listed on it. The 60's so called cultural revolution really ramped up IDENTITY politics (hyphenated names) & division. And communist Marxist TYRANNICAL big government was sold as "the people owning everything" - the absolute opposite of what it is- and ignorance of what the Founders actually did achieve. It's going to take more than 1 or 2 decent presidential elections to break this WEF UN destruction of independent nations, that's for sure.
