Yes, in fact China has recently refocused its efforts into what it considers mature chip technology, instead of trying to catch-up with current cutting edge technology

India has an identity problem Fact is, India is a fake country. Prior to being colonized by the British, there has never been an "Indian" state Throughout its history, the Indian subcontinent had always consisted of various competing kingdoms who spoke their own language and had their own history The British came, defeated each one of them, and decided that it's easier to just lump them all together under one administration It's the reason why outside of ultra nationalists, most "Indians" have very little love for their fake country, and try to get out as soon as they can It's a clusterduck over there. "India" is a just an ex British colony masquerading as a country, barely held together by ultra nationalistic sentiments

Indonesians trying to push the blame back to Malaysia and Singapore is wild If they are so convinced that its the fault of Malaysian and Singaporean companies, then just publish the data In a haze year, how much land in Indonesia was cleared using slash and burn techniques? How much of these was done by Malaysian and Singaporean companies? They should just publish the data, there's no need to point fingers But they haven't done so Either they don't have the data, or the data doesnt support their accusations So they're content with just pointing fingers Jungle country is jungle

It's the reason why I always tell Malaysians that gaining independence in 1957 from the British is simply a myth and piece of propaganda The founding myth that Malaysia teaches its citizens is that Malaysian independence was won in 1957 due to the combined efforts of three political parties (UMNO, MCA, MIC) and their negotiations with the British In reality though, those three political parties didn't win anything They were simply British stooges (or Anglophiles) picked by the British to rule Malaysia as their proxies Again, those three political parties didn't win anything, they were simply appointed by the British to look after their interests in Malaysia If anything, the Malayan communists probably contributed more towards booting the British out than those three political parties

@Not-Ap But that's strange The US as a nation is known for trying to export their brand of democracy all over the world, supposedly because it promises people freedom and the power to decide the future of their country by electing the leaders they want But you're saying you're powerless as an American to do anything about the future of your country?
