Actually, I think instead of just ignoring this, China really needs to show the world what happened I mean, if you think about it, the popular narrative where "Chinese soldiers massacred peaceful protestors" doesn't really make complete sense Why would the Chinese government want to escalate things by shooting people? If the protestors were really peaceful, why not just leave them be, they'd disperse on their own sooner or later Something must have happened to start the violence The more China tries to ignore it, the more people are just going to make their own assumption, which is "because communists are evil", which doesn't make sense
