It's got nothing to do with racism Chinese people just associate fairer skin with higher social status, because in the past if you had fair skin it meant that you didn't have to work in the fields like all the other farmer plebs So when they say it would be perfect if you're half white, it's not an attack on your race. It's just them stating that if you had fairer skin you would be much more in demand as a model Again, it's about their idea of beauty, it's not about racism
