I find it strange how some people in the comment section keep yelling about how China's military has no experience and has never fought a war People forget that China and the US have ALREADY fought a war more than 60 years ago The best the US and its Nato allies could do, against the Chinese who were a) armed with Soviet hand me downs and b) devoid of any support from air or sea, was a stalemate

@hailene6093 Point being made is the US with its Nato allies in tow couldn't beat the PLA even back when they were poorly equipped and with zero support from air and sea It's probably one reason why the Korean war is sometimes known as the forgotten war in the US

@hailene6093 Wow, so much to correct here The CPC did not receive supplies from Germany or the USA, the KMT did, and it was during WWII, not the Korean war The CPC did receive supplies from the Soviet Union during the Korean war, but it was mostly obsolete small arms, and not the heavy weapons which they needed Most countries have not fought in conflicts in recent years because most countries aren't a warmonger like the US. What most countries do however, is they contribute troops to UN peacekeeping missions, and China has consistently been one of the most prolific contributors The point you're missing here is China fought with a much greater disadvantage during the Korean war, and all the US and its Nato allies could manage was a draw
