@jessigirlrae1688 I see Chinese commenters here referring to it as a treat I haven't seen any Chinese commenter here referring to it as a luxury But ok

I'd like to see experts consistently picking out the expensive whiskey in blind tests It has already been proven that in blind tests, wine experts are not able to consistently pick out which is the more expensive wine
29
Shut up, stop educating these ignorant foreigners Let them go after Thai durians Malaysian durian already skyrocketed in price ever since China discovered them We don't need the rest of the world getting in on the action and driving prices up further

This is the comment I was looking for There is a huge difference between the palm oil industry in Malaysia and Indonesia I see a lot of Indonesians in the comment section trying to defend palm oil and they lump Malaysia and Indonesia together The problem is mostly in Indonesia Indonesia's slash and burn methods is what's giving palm oil a bad reputation, and Malaysian palm oil is being dragged down together Not to mention the yearly smog that Malaysia suffers Not only is slash and burn in Indonesia hurting our public health, it's also hurting our palm oil industry I wish the Malaysian government did more pressure Indonesia to stop using cheap slash and burn methods - if Indonesia wants to be part of the palm oil industry, it has to invest in more modern farming methods, otherwise they are just ruining the industry for the rest of us

Almost every year, South East Asia suffers from a smog due to small land owning farmers in Indonesia burning their lands to plant things including palm oil Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-34265922 Indonesia's primitive farming methods is what's giving palm oil a bad reputation, and Malaysia is being dragged down along with it

It doesn't matter Even if he's dead, they'll just use body doubles to rule in his stead, until his son is old enough to take over

If you hate plastic, you'd hate to be in Japan Everything is over packaged in Japan, just pop into one of their 24 convenient stores and see for yourself Every serving of sushi, for example, comes with its own plastic packet of soy sauce, when they could have just provided a soy sauce dispenser for people to use Each piece of bread sold in the bakery section are individually wrapped in plastic, when they could have just provided tongs for people to pick out what they want, like in a normal bakery And so on
13
It's mainly Indonesia that's been clearing land for palm oil with slash and burn techniques Indonesia's primitive farming methods is what's been giving palm oil a bad reputation, and Malaysia is being dragged down along with it

I scrolled through hundreds of comments, look for comments about bats I only managed to find two, both from Indians The whole "the Chinese eat bats" thing might have started in the West, but it looks like Indians are the ones who are very eager to propagate it now

Lol Yet Americans consider bull's testicles an aphrodisiac Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocky_Mountain_oysters They are literally eating an animal's balls hoping it'd give their own balls a boost

@Kamikazebat3923 I agree with your assessment completely Ironically, what they don't realize is, it just makes people look down on them even more People respect other people who are confident with being who they are People do not respect tryhards who actively try to bootlick their way into acceptance

LMAO at all the watch snobs in the comment section talking about the "superior craftsmanship" of a Rolex The entire luxury Swiss watch industry is a feat of marketing wizardry, that is all Take the tourbillon for example - it literally serves no function other than to make a watch look more complicated than it really is, and jacks up the price of a watch in the process Heck the Swiss don't even make the best watches Not many people know that the Japanese beat the Swiss so badly at their own Chronometer Trials in 1968 that the Swiss stopped the competition midway while it was being held just to avoid naming a Japanese company the winner The Swiss aren't master watch makers, they are master marketeers

@kauigirl808 Just tell them no Like others have said, they can't make you do anything Stop living up to the meek Asian stereotype

How do refills work though Does anyone really leave the theater halfway through the movie to go get a refill

Don't lump Malaysia and Indonesia together Almost every year, South East Asia suffers from a smog due to small land owning farmers in Indonesia burning their lands to plant things including palm oil Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-34265922 Indonesia's primitive farming methods is what's giving palm oil a bad reputation, and Malaysia's palm oil industry is being dragged down along with it The Malaysian government should take the initiative educate the world in the difference between how palm oil is produced in Malaysia and Indonesia Push for a "Malaysian Palm Oil" label, so that people know which palm oil is the more sustainable one
2
Here's a thumbs up for you 👍🏻 Most other young Chinese people are too busy being ashamed of being Chinese and often go the extra mile to show everyone how "un-Chinese" they are
2
@SajatulA I watched the video that you posted It actually made me admire the Chinese government a little bit more They are actually taking steps to prevent people from starting a panic Compared to countries like the US and Australia, where people are actually crying because they can't buy diapers, or fighting over one pack of toilet paper I would the action of the police, stopping that woman from spreading fake news about shortage of rice and sparking a panic buying, to be not only justified but necessary
2
@noefvon Most of those who employ slash and burn tactics in Indonesia are individual smallhold Indonesian farmers There may be one or two Malaysian or Singaporean companies who are guilty or that as well, but that is the exact point being made here - Indonesia is trying to divert attention away from what their own people are doing by scapegoating the small handful of foreign companies who were caught
1
@mehi9285 Deforestation in Sarawak is primarily driven by logging Most palm oil plantations in Sarawak are set up on land that's already been cleared due to logging Learn your facts before criticizing your own state
1
@louisholden5127 Most of that is actually due to logging It has very little to do with oil palm
1
A workforce of 1,500 and most of them don't have any actual work to do Yea, no shit that's a recipe for failure

This is all because the slaughter houses paused their operations Like the guy in the video said, automation is the solution

Actually it's not just South Korea, most countries in Asia are handling the outbreak very well, relative to the West, especially the US Now if the Asians were racist bigots, the only logical conclusion they'll draw is Westerners (in general) and Americans (specifically) are filthy and unhygienic people hence that's why they can't deal with a disease outbreak But they're not racist bigots, so you don't see much or any of that sort of garbage on the internet You can, however, find plenty of comments from some people in the West talking about how Asia (in general) or China (specifically) is a filthy and unhygienic place

How do they poop when they are training in the field

@TreDogOfficial Lol "...most international wildlife exports from Africa go to Europe, Japan and the United States" Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wildlife_smuggling_in_southern_Africa But sure, it's all China's fault Seriously, these closeted China haters like you are hilarious, they only need one excuse, no matter how ridiculous, to start spewing their toxin
1
@izumi6704 Lol spotted the self hating Chinese
1
I think you meant India
1
So basically a lingering problem from their colonial past China should just step in a put an end to this ridiculous practice Unfortunately, it is the rich upper class in HK who benefits from propping up this archaic system, so dismantling the system means taking them on That's simply not something China can afford do at the moment, especially considering that unrest that HK has already been going through
1
And Malaysia should send invoice to Indonesia every year when the haze returns

Didn't they modify the food pyramid to include milk even though milk wasn't on it to begin with?
