  2. Ironically, the problem is too much opportunity. While the ceiling is higher, the floor is lower. There's a lot more people making good money now than ever before largely due to tech, not just the occasional doctor and lawyer. In aggregate, that tilts entire economies as there's a critical mass so things like concert tickets are now $1000. More and more people can afford a 2nd home than ever before, etc. At the same time, entry level jobs artificially inflated by unions are now overseas and/or increasingly automated (another opportunity gap!). And harsh as it is, we haven't had a good old-fashioned war deplete the young house buyer pool in a while.
