  1. To just be a developer? Nah. But I promise you these guys do exist and that is what you'll be competing with if you want to be 'tech lead' or whatever. They may burn out, but there will be another, so that's what you'll do. Think steroids. What do you want out of your career? You can make ~$100k a year in the US w/an easy job just parsing .csv files and adding crud screens to a legacy app. If you want to see those $150k+ numbers you're going to be putting in a TON of effort, well into diminishing returns!
