Listened to a sermon podcast the other day (I want to say it was Dr. David Jeremiah, forgot who it was), but he basically outlined that God created a man and his wife in such a symbiotic relationship. The commands are for a man to love his wife, and the wife to be submissive to her husband. The more a man loves his wife, the easier it is for his wife to be submissive to her husband. The more a woman is submissive to her husband, the easier it is for her husband will love his wife. Pure and simple.

I don't have cable, but I did watch an episode of Bluey out of curiosity recently at a hotel... the reason it's captivating is that they portray adult characters as normal. Not some overbearing tyrants or absolute idiots. Just.... regular characters.
