  1. Hard to tell not knowing your standing. For me, if everything else is solid, and I like the ride, I will keep driving the car and keep an eye on it. How long is the rattle on cold start? If it's a split second, no worries about it, if it's 2-3 seconds, it's time to drop the Ks, assuming again everything on the car is decent, and getting another vehicle is multiples of those Ks.

  3.  @scottg429  Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. The common problem I was referring to is the VVTI rattle during cold start. It's hard to tell at which mileage it will start exhibiting this rattle. Mine does it once in a while, but when I change my fluid in my 5k interval it goes away. I say, don't worry about it unless you start to hear the rattles that last 2-3 seconds, if it's split second, I will not worry about it. Just keep an eye on it.
