@need-to-know- This is its most proponent etymology.
It may also means "God's Venom/Poison" , "Poisoned by God" , "Fame/Name/Renown of God" , "Heard/Made Famed by God" , "Heard of God" , "God's Wrath" "God of Wrath" , "Blinded by God" , "the blind god" , "Herald of God" , "The Herald God" "Host of God" or "God's Blinding Herald" as a reference to alternatively to the Sun, Mercury, Mars, the Morning Star (Venus and Sirius) , the Moon at its full moon phase, and Samael's manifold role in ancient Judaism and rabbinical tects as both a demiurgic being, divine host or Power, Watcher, one of the fallen angelic being/fallen Son of God, Principalty, opposite attorney in the heavenly court, original Tempter figure and ambivalent being in contrast to Satan in Judaism. One of his epithets in Judaism is "Son of the shalim star (Morning Star)" .

@LordWyatt That's so awfully wrong. There has no equivalent term for superpowered beings in Greek mythology: not all Heroes are superpowered (only alternatingly stronger, wiser and holier than the common of post-Heroic Age mortals) . A larhe extent of Heroes were either demigods or mortals of divine descent, but others were simply but mere above-average mortals.
In Greek mythology, various entities and beings possesses or manifests supernatural abilities: Gods, Titans, Protogenois/Primordials, monsters, chthonic beasts, divine beasts, mortal magic practitioners, holy individuals, priests/tesses, spirits, the disembombied souls of the dead, conceptual beings, Demigods and to a certain extent all Mortal humans due to their own innate low spiritual/psychic potential (Humans can appeal, summon or feed off a deity or deified ancestor with the gift of prayer and sacred rituals, build up sacred domains, mentally experience mystical phenomena, and somehow barely influence the course of the world and of nature and appease the Divine by mobilizing their forces) . There has no particular denomination in Greek mythology and philosophic views for what some may calls in a Western urban setting, piece of science fiction or of science fantasy a "metahuman" , "mutant" or "super" in terms accordingly to both the superhero and science fiction genres, aside maybe (albeit not inclusively) magois / wizards / mages, holy persons, mortals turned into monstruous beings (which was seldom ever reported in Greek secular academic gnosis. They spoke about a few seldom reports reported every coulle few centuries in Greek Roman bkth medical and historic literature about people in Greece and the Balkans suffering of an affliction that made them into literal murderous man-eating werewolves overnight and going on a killing spree across bucolic lands for years before getting captured and killed) , of a fewer reported cases of buck goats from Lesbos Island said from having sex-shifted overnight into does and vice-versa for the does (and believed that these "miracles" were performed by Aphrodite's influence) , some myth about a water source nearby the town of Halicanassus in ancient Caria (south-western Anatolia) that affects men's masculine spirits and gradually "effeminate" them because the nymph associated to said waters was said from having raped/merged with Aphrodite and Hermes's son countless thousands of years ago and turned together into an intersex form of the latter, affecting forever the waters with feminizing properties (although, it could simply be a myth meant to criticize why Ionian Greeks were going native while meddling with the Asians, whose cultures were esteemed too "effeminate" in the eyes of the presumably "virile" Greek culture) and mentions of practises reminiscing of the Berserkers from medieval Norse and Germanic cultures amid historical accounts of the Goths, Celts/Gauls, some sub-tribes of the legendary Achaeans of yore, and a few Scythian tribes.
But that's pretty much it. Nothing about a race of Homo Magis or Wizards. Nothing about supers and mutants. Solely about what must come close to the concept of the "quintessential man" in medieval achemical esoterism, of the "awakened man" in the philosophies of the Lumieres of the XVIIIth century or of the "übermensch" in Nietchzean philosophy. Of course, the Sybils might've maybe come off as an exception to the rule...

Your analysis is captivating. But I beg to disagree strongly on six premices:
1) Eren is fully capable of willful malice. He has proven it many times over.
2) Inherently, Eren's Rumbling plan wasn't twistedly selfless but selfish in nature in a Freudian sense of the word. Eren's view is very infantile. As a matter-of-fact, Eren never really did evolve as a character in the duration of both the entire manga run and show. He's still the exact same twisted kid we've seen from Episode 1;
3) Ymir choose not to talk. She's virtually nigh-omniscient in this astral dimension in which both she and the Paths are trapped in, as she possess the sum of the knowledge of all of her descendants on a genetic and spiritual levels.
-- and presumably across countless numbers of alternate timelines/alternate realities/universes.
Nevertheless, she choose to comply to the meek child form she had when she was a slave because she was bound to the twisted love she had gor King Fritz:
4) Ymir is NOT a victim any longer from the moment she became one with the Paths. Ymir is capable of some degree of misanthropic grudge and malice toward both the rest of Mankind AND her own race/children, the Eldians;
5) Neither Eren nor Ymir fully possesses a sense of freewill. Eren is bound to the will of Ymir: he's her avataree of sorts, and Mikasa the vessel of their experiments and reflection of Ymir's own desire to understand what love is (think about Mikasa being Trinity to Eren's Neo) and how far can she let it go of it for the sake of herself and of the greater good.
But... nevertheless, both Eren and Ymir aren't fully bound neither. They have a choice. Only... to what expense??
And 6) Ultimately, the mastermind of all of that evil is, ironically, the only charactee that is neither truthfully malicipus or malevolent nor benevolent-- e.g. the Source of All Living Matter or Beast of the Earth. It somehow manipulated Ymir to exert its will-- ans the creature's directive is to live no matter what... only, to which extent does the entity's obscure intentions were divine or demonic in nature?? To which extent it was due to Eren's (and thus by extension, to Ymir's) 's corruptive reteoactive influence upon the creature across the time loop?? But whom made Eren?? Who made Ymir??? Who made King Fritz, the Eldians and the Mahr?? Who made Men??? Who made Life... it's paradoxical.
Mayhaps we'll never know.

@GT-fl9gf Well, we just get the movie.
The VERY passive agressive casual racism of wh*te liberals-- or in a Canadian context, of a sizeable number of wh*te Canadians all short. The micro-agressions, the atmosphere of unease hovering around, the constant need to highlight our race with back handed remarks and snide compliments on every single casual conversation, the objectification and commodification of black bodies, the women, the men, the performative militantism, the positive discrimination, the side-stares and spans of attention redirected at the least stereotypized and smartest black person in the room or who suddenly changes of topic when you walk in and out, the rude bigoted remarks under a backdrop of social commentary, that one white girlfriend or wife, that lingering air of racial paranoia that will be hovering around sooner or later, the superiority-inferiority complex and insecurities, et cetera et cetera.
What this has been describing is nothing new in African American and Afro-descendant fiction (and even nonfanction) . To give you a perfect idea of what it is, think about some of the topics highlighted ajd exaggerated for science-fictive reasons by the film "Matrix"... which is ironic, given that the author behinf the original script plagiarized later on by the Warchoski Brothers (and allegedly years earlier on by James Cameron too) was an African American female novelist. Sophia Stewart's her name.

@CheesecakeXIII Hell, even the underimplied narrative concept about some cryptic ambiguously influent white suprematist/Masonic secret society approaching a select number of gifted black men and black women that might be hinting about a sinister racial conspiracy or political, fringe-scientific and/or occult agenda under a backdrop of black people's historically charged (and justified) distrust and paranoia toward nonblack (and "good N%%ro" type too) domineered institutions of governing power, welfare and authority locally and abroad
are not too far-fetched at all.
Just read the history of Masonism or Western esoteric traditions and their murky interactions with individuals of African descent all across late medieval to modern times and their proxy, indirect or direct implication, ingerence or influence - nay through the otherwise handle of a single individual, group, body or institution whose member/s all happened to be Masons or whatever - in every single historic event, initiative, conflict, political assassination, human-rights crime, war crime and other countless, unspeakable and despicable acts of maleficence meant to systematically undermine and corrupt economically, politically and spiritually African civilizations and Diaspora as well as any uprising community, group, body or single individual of African descent over the past five or some centuries, down to the so-called "Age of Discoveries" and the Transatlantic slave trade to the Berlin Conference of 1884-85 and so-called "Scramble For Africa" to the post-War era of African Independances leading to the assassinations of multiple prominent African nationalist figures and leaders, to the Congo War and enforcement of key puppet dictators such as the likening of Mobutu or Gaddafi in the 1960-70s, of the downfall of the Kingdom of Ethiopia and "accidental" death of Haile Selassie I (from which, thanks to public access at declassified US intelligence folders, has been confirmed that is was no accident. And done by BOTH the West Block and USSR-- which was not unprecedented in the history of the Cold War in Africa. Patrice Lumumba's assassination was that historic premiere) , of the illicitly and paramilitarily enforced foundation of France-Belgium's neocolonialism or "Françafrique" , to the Blood Diamond Wars of Western Africa, the Apartheid era South Africa in league with Israel and the West with their attempts to manufacure an atomic arsenal and biological weapons aimed against all Africans in the 1980s, the spreading of HIV and of the Ebola virus, to the Rwandan Genocide, the Zairian Genocide, to African World War II and so on and forth to the current geopolitical situation nowadays-- all following a long term ever-revised and perfected racial cleasing and annihilation masterplan.
Personally, I've been myself approached multiple times ever singe ages 13 to 17 by some very sinister individuals, people, extremist religious groups and secret societies of different leanings myself for being too smart and "brilliant" for their own good. Most of them had one way or another connections to so-callingly "ex-" whatever-Western-or-Arab-country Deep State-trained factions gone rogue, governments, political enemies from my late grandparents and grandrelatives, and ultimately ever and always Masons . One way or another, theit name drops someplace and at some point, they even approahed me directly a couple times already: telling me from which exact lodge or society they hailed from, that they kept an eye on me since some or some years let alone since young age, that I shall join their ranks and get trained or else.
Literally: either I join them or they will screw me in ways inimaginable, nay worse. I refused. They approached numerous other members of my family from both sides of my parentage since at least four generations to the mother's side and two to five from the father's side, least from what it is accounted orally. My mother, my brothers, my cousins, the aunties and the uncles, my late father, my father's great-grandfather, my late maternal grandparents with their own parents and grandparents before. You do realize what does it meant, five generations ago for an African?? It meant they started to look after us since even a little before they invaded and colonized all African kingdoms after 1885. I have a pile the size of a Harry Potter novel worth of psychological horror stories and creepy stories and evidence from plenty of black acquaintances from Canada, the USA, Haiti, Brasil, from all over Europe and Africa, people I encountered online and during my outgoing life and how their lives and those of their families turned into a nightmare because they either equally refused the same proposal by the same obscure people, or actually joined it and so regretfully wanted to get out once the honeymoon phase was over and they've gone too deep into the rabbit hole... by comparison, Jordan Peele's horror tales looks seemingly tame.

@markcochrane9523 Vader is NOT pure evil. He's a human's ideological and psychological corruption of the Living Force's immune system response to the Sith and their attempts to meddle with the Dark Side at their will. Both the Dark Side and the Light are natural foundations needed to the all-encompassing tension of that body: the Dark Side is a river, the Light its riverbank, the galaxies and myriards worlds its valley. Both the Sith and the Republic Era Jedi bore a biased comprehension of the Force, along the former wanting to bend and twist the river at their limited, biased will.
Anakin was a response . Vader was an interpretation from said response. Vader was not needed, only molded . The Living Force didn't welcome the ghost of Vader under its bosom at the end of Return of The Jedi: only a redeemed Anakin attuned with his heart, for the heart when purified and absconded of the shroud of guilt, self-loathed, suffering and illusion are attuned to the living heartbeat of the Force.
Conservely, Ganondorf is the living avatar of a mass of pure evil. As an avatar, he may understand accountability and even fathom to experience some guilt about it, but in truth could and would never upset his very core nature, for as everything he aspires for is ingrained into his very soul-- so to speak the essence of Ganon, the hand of Demise himself.
Vader was a Christ-like figure who made himself Antechrist, for as in Lucas's (heavily Buddhist, Gnostic and Frank Herbert's Dune-influenced) view of religions, they were both sides of the same piece in much of the same manner that bodhisatvas and immortals may have less benevolent facets or avatars, and so does deities, demigods and rishis in Brahmanic religions. But Ganondorf is Mammon (Ganon)'s Antechrist, and Mammon a hand of the primordial cosmic evil that welcomed Satan/Lucifer (Groose and his presumptive mortal descendants, the corrupt half-Hylian-descended Gerudo race from whose he passed down his hatred, envy and jealousy toward Link and Zelda's past Skyloft Era Hylian incarnations to his all-female descendants, and eventually each incarnation of Ganondorf) into his bosom after his Fall from Heaven in "Paradise Lost" and the esoteric Judeo-Christian myths that influenced both this novel, the earlier Anglo-Saxon Bible, and likely the Islamic myth of Iblis's Fall as well.
It's quite ironic, when you think about it, about how Star Wars which is supposed to be Arthurian lore, magic and Dune meeting the space opera fiction are more in tune with Oriental philosophies while being made by a Western author of fiction, when in the meantime Legend of Zelda with its heavily Shintoist, Buddhic, Brahmanic and Chinese Wuxia literary genre influences... remains in his core more inclined to Abrahamic (Judaism, Christianity, Catharism, Islam, Mandeism) and composite religions (Manicheism) myths.

I'm going to be honest, but after some hindsight, I found this video a little weak when it comes to inform us and address Raul Silva's evilness.
Are we seriously considering NOT honeypotting around the fact that he was a child-soldier who basivally opted to attack M and the M16 the way he was trained to undermine entire governments and states rather than fleeing away? His obvious sadistic tendencies, deviousness and disregard to human lives and individual boundaries taken aside, what does makes him any less evil than the likes of Jason Bourne, Sidney Bristow from 'Alias' , the Scotfield Brothers from 'Prison Break' or the duet of FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully from 'X-Files', then? Than any of these characters who were willing to put in jeopardy the safety and lives of entire networks of individuals spies and field agents on mission, of covered operations, funds and systems entirely turned asunder because these people were, much like Silva, willing to do everything to make some heads fell off over a slight or injustice, or seeking the truth-- even at the expanse of putting entire families, societies, countries (Bourne, Bristow, Mulder and Scully, the Scotfield Brothers) nay the future of the planet itself (Bristow, Mulder and Scully) in danger??
