  2. I've lived in Wisconsin. Yeah, November and December are gray and depressing, but it always seems like in January when there is snow on the ground and the sun comes out that winter becomes really beautiful. Dress correctly for the temperature and you are okay. I used to ride a bicycle down as low as 20 degrees. Below 20 degrees and it's difficult. I'm in California now taking care of an aging parent... California has no winter except up in the mountains.

  3.  @crimesagainsthumanity2059  It's better than November and December when it's so dark. Look up the facts about sunlight exposure in Wisconsin based on time of year. The WORST is right about now and the solar energy starts to recover in January. Seriously, try looking it up. Take some Vitamin D as that simulates light. I'm in "Sunny California" and the people here freak out if it drops below 60 degrees. People here are so delicate and fragile when it comes to weather... it's such a joke to me. I have good cold weather genetics I guess and like the snow. Actually I'm planning to go back to Wisconsin after my mother passes away. California sucks because it's horribly overcrowded and everything is regulated to the point you have zero freedom. At least in Wisconsin you can get outdoors and enjoy a life without feeling crowded. That is unless you are in a crowded place like a city. Small towns are the way to go I think.
