  13.  @Ibanezguy2007  - Thank you for posting a link to a video that shows just how easy it is for flat Earth theorists to take you for a ride :-) Flat Earth believers like yourself often boast about your claimed observation skills and yet you clearly missed the simple observation that the table Eric shows you is NOT FLAT. You can tell just by the reflections in the table as the camera moves at 1:11 onwards, where it is clear to me that it's a table like the one I HAVE in my home, an extendable dining table. Extendable tables are joined in the middle, where some designs have four legs and others are supported in the middle on a central stand. The designs using a stand often result in the two halves dropping down a fraction from the middle to the edge (as mine does!). So the two halves are flat, but my table (just like the one in the video) is highest where it meets in the middle. If the table Eric used was perfectly flat then he would have demonstrated that fact right from the start (and don't pretend you can't think of several ways to do that). So go ahead and find a flat table yourself, place objects along the table as Eric did and see if you get the same effect that Eric got from your PROVEN flat table. If you manage it, make a video that includes proof that your table is flat and upload it. Seriously, how did you allow yourself to be caught out by such an obvious deception by Eric? :-|

  19. People have known the Earth is a globe for around 2500 years, i.e. the ancient Greeks and Romans, and for around 2000 years Christian churches have only ever said the Earth is a globe. The only difference being that all those I mentioned believed in a stationary globe Earth for most of history. Last time I checked that was long before NASA and long before modern gvts :-)

In fact, Eddie was on Joe's show, the SAME show, 2 years earlier talking about flat Earth and fake space where he was very vocal and loud about his views, and therefore surely it would have been Eddie's responsibility this time around to be more prepared, wouldn't you think? :-) And given that they had this debate with Eddie before then they certainly knew what to expect, therefore the only panic in the room is in your head, where you're seeing what you want to see :-| So I'm not going by this video only. And being open minded is not an excuse to ignore common sense, ignore reason and ignore facts. I did my flat Earth research by acquiring and reading all the main flat Earth books published over the last 150+ years, where I identified common ideas and themes among them as well as many contradictions, together with poor reasoning and false assumptions within all those books. My research was initially focussed around finding an accurate undistorted flat map of a flat Earth in just ONE flat Earth book. It was no surprise to me that none of them provided such a map. So tell me about your flat Earth research please.

The version King James commissioned was produced by the Church of England who have only ever said the Earth is a globe, a church that has the medieval Christian symbol called the "Globus Cruciger", featuring a cross on top of a ball, representing Christ's dominion over the globe Earth. In fact, no Christian denomination/church in history says the Earth is flat, they only say it's a globe, albeit a stationary globe for most of Christian history :-|

Where YOU can buy a telescope today and observe the night sky for years and hence see with your own eyes proof of the space 'they' tell us. And remember, there are millions of amateur astronomers all over the world observing the skies every day and have been for over a century... wouldn't just ONE of them have spotted or photographed or filmed a lie by now? :-) I've been an amateur astronomer since the 70s, it's easy and hence anyone can do it, and so I know space is exactly what 'they' tell us from my own observations over the decades. I don't expect to change your mind, but I hope that helps in some way.

For example, you said "Gravity is just density and buoyancy" The problem with that popular flat Earth claim is that gravity is in the equation for buoyancy, look it up. Go ahead and see if you can find an equation for buoyancy that doesn't feature gravity (remember to check carefully). Simply put, buoyancy exists BECAUSE of gravity, otherwise you should be able to find an equation for buoyancy that doesn't contain gravity, and yet every flat Earth believer that I've asked to do that has failed :-)

Christian churches throughout history have only ever said the Earth is a globe (albeit a stationary globe for much of that history), none of them have ever said the Earth is flat. When Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire, the churches adopted Ptolemy's 140 AD model of the universe as doctrine, a model that placed a globe stationary Earth at the center of the universe. Why? Because we can find verses in the Bible that explicitly says the Earth is stationary, but none that explicitly states the shape of the Earth.

And if you made a perfect model of the Earth that stood about 9 feet high, say 300 cm, then the bulge would make your model Earth 301 cm wide. To our eyes and in photos and video your perfect model Earth would look like a perfect sphere! So there's nothing wrong with the "Blue Marble" photo.

True north is the exact point in the sky that all the stars revolve around, where it does change over time very slowly. Polaris is currently about 0.75 degree off from true north, and so if you pointed a camera at Polaris and zoomed in to create a time lapse video for several hours, then you will notice that Polaris creates an arc for a circle about the width of 3 full moons. So like all the other stars seen when we're north of the equator, Polaris ALSO revolves around TRUE NORTH, and therefore Polaris does move, just not as much as the stars around it. Now ask yourself why all flat Earth theorists incorrectly claim Polaris never moves, which is why you believed it never moves too :-)

Christian churches throughout history have only ever said the Earth is a globe (albeit a stationary globe for much of that history), none of them have ever said the Earth is flat. When Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire, the churches adopted Ptolemy's 140 AD model of the universe as doctrine, a model that placed a GLOBE stationary Earth at the center of the universe. Why? Because we can find verses in the Bible that explicitly says the Earth is stationary, but none that explicitly states the shape of the Earth.

Also in that same video, notice the second gravity experiment at 1:06, where a small object is weighed and then a much larger object is placed directly beneath it, causing the weight of the small object to increase a fraction due to the gravitational attraction between the two masses. Again that result is only explained by gravity, and not only that, the result can be accurately PREDICTED using theories of gravity depending (in general) on the mass of the objects and their distance apart. If gravity didn't exist, then the results of those two experiments would have been impossible, and yet they have been performed over and over with the same results observed for centuries. So how does the flat Earth claims about buoyancy (which uses gravity in the equations) and density explain the attraction demonstrated in both of those experiments? The answer is: It doesn't, only gravity explains it and only theories of gravity predicts the results. Therefore those two experiments alone proves the existence of a force of attraction between all matter, a force of attraction we call gravity.

Flat Earth theorists took Neil's 'pear shape' reference and distorted what Neil was saying, but the fact remains that Neil used a pear as an example to explain how the Earth was fatter in the south compared to the north, he wasn't saying the Earth literally looks pear shaped, he says it still looks like a perfect sphere.

  236.  @Itsfilthyy  - Ok, I had to check :-) If you don't trust digital photography then you need to go back to film photography, for which the Apollo 11-17 astronauts took nearly 15,000 photographs, around 800 featuring the Earth. YT doesn't allow links, but srch the net for "Apollo 17 Magazine 148/NN" and "Apollo 11 Magazine 36/N" and go to the links with those titles for the photos. Notice that you can even see clouds casting shadows on the surface of the Earth in some of the photos. I hope that helps :-)

Christian churches throughout history have only ever said the Earth is a globe (albeit a stationary globe for much of that history), none of them have ever said the Earth is flat. When Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire, the churches adopted Ptolemy's 140 AD model of the universe as doctrine, a model that placed a GLOBE stationary Earth at the center of the universe. Why? Because we can find verses in the Bible that explicitly says the Earth is stationary, but none that explicitly states the shape of the Earth.

No-one takes the word of the Bible more literally than Creationists. Creationists claim the Earth is around 6000 years old because they worked it out from the Bible. Creationists claim Adam and Eve were the first humans, claim Noah's Ark and the flood is historical fact, claim people were around dinosaurs, claim evolution isn't real, and so on. Those same Creationists say the Earth is a globe.

And 8 inches per mile squared came from 19th century levelers (a type of surveyor back then), where it was a rule of thumb approximation for curvature because it was easy to calculate in their heads or on paper (no calculators back then), and it was good enough for the distances they were working with. It was first mentioned in the first published flat Earth book in the 19th century and has been repeated by flat Earth theorists every since. 8 inches per mile squared has NEVER been used by science because it's actually the equation for a parabola, so it's not "their numbers".
