  1. Even after borrowing $31,400,000,000,000 ($6T from foreigners including China), US gov ran out money to pay its bills. With the 'Fiscal Responsibility Act', gov can now borrow as much as needed until Jan 1, 2025. Note, it currently cost US gov ~5.1% to borrow for 1 year. Like most Americans, US gov is broke.
