  1. US debt is $32,000,000,000,000 ($7 trillion to foreign countries including China) and rising $1M every 40 seconds. It only takes $5,000,000,000 laid end-to-end reach the moon and back. When US raises the debt limit, it is allowed to borrow more (at 4.3% for 1 yr). Our gov doesn't earn enough to pay its bills without borrowing.
