Actually congress has proven that it never had the ability to hold anyone accountable. The Founding Fathers were such idiots that they thought elections should be the only means to hold criminal politicians accountable.

Only complete fools and people under 40 didn't know that Bill Barr covered up and minimized republican damage from Iran-Contra. Think about it. There was a major scandal with elected and appointed members of the US govt choosing to violate US law rather than go through congress to get things done. Bill Barr came in like Mr Wolf and swept everything under the rug. I pointed this out to democratic members of the senate when they voted to confirm Bill Barr as Criminal Trump's AG. Bill Barr covers up crimes committed by republicans. It's time to hold Mr. Barr accountable for his crimes.
