  1. I disagree. Of the 222-235 house members the Dems have had only about 5 that could possibly lead the party. Being the party leader is not being the person that comes up with the ideas for bills or who looks like a "star" on tv. Being the party leader is being the person that can get everyone in the party to vote for bills by any means necessary. Too many progressives think that everyone should be convinced by logical arguments alone. LOL!!! Just like voters, 33% of Representatives are convinced by logical arguments, 33% are convinced by emotional arguments, and 33% are convinced by physical arguments. Progressives only to speak to 33% of people with logical arguments. No current Dem house member is ready to take over as leader since they don't have the ability to get everyone in the party to vote for bills by any means necessary. Pelosi has to stay.

  2. Name a Dem House member that could be party leader. Name them. I see no one. Being party leader is about being able to get everyone in the party to vote together by any means necessary. 99% representatives are NOT leaders to begin with. If you do not have a skilled leader, you'll have half the bills your party brings to the floor voted down. Considering the next 2 years are probably going to be with Republicans in control, you need someone with experience to fight from the minority.
