  4. ​ @alabamaman1684  ... The distrust is promoted by politicians that decry big pharma in the media. Most Americans do not get into the details of why politicians whine about big pharma. They end up just having a broad view that big pharma is out to harm America. That is dead wrong. The drivers of the the opioid problem in America were not the manufacturers. It was the greed of the middle and sales people whose salaries and bonuses were based on how much of the drugs they could push on Americans. Govt failed to regulate the entire pharmaceutical industry.
