  1. Back during Katrina the US was engaged in the Iraq war which limited the funding for FEMA. Just like now we are gearing up for war in the Middle East so there is no appetite for the kind of funding that FEMA needs to be there for the Americans who desperately needs their help. Plus the head of FEMA is exmilitary and might be a little biased as to who deserves the funding the most. Add in the fact that our president is a Democrat but Congress is being lead by Republicans and the funding for FEMA must be approved by Congress it means that the very people who gave the government the money aren't getting the help needed. I guess Israel is more important to them 🤬
