  8. You are right America is pretty great. I would say you should visit sometime, but that will have to wait until Vlad Pooty is gone and the Russians pull back and atone for their transgressions. One of the great problems a military organization has is of processing sensor data and moving it to the users for action. And the Russians are MAYBE the worst at that in the world. Too much "Rice bowls" thinking. AI have always assumed it comes from the same part of SOV culture that leads to corruption in the officer ranks. But that is for another time. So, lets imagine your position is accurate. WE will assume There is a satellite system that picks out a human body via thermal imagery. We will assume that the Ukrainian infantry squad walks along an open field and selects an ambush position in an area without overhead cover. Silly but we will go with it. Where is this imagery processed? WHo has tasked this to occur? How is it deconflicted with the Sov patrols that should also be out (ooooooops, we will scratch that one as the SOvs are terrified to go out cross flot at night. Perhaps you should chastise your leaders for stealing the NVG money, and then further chastise your leadership for discounting infantry patrol training.) How do the SOVs action this target? THe usual way they work is when a patrol is found, they spend some time figuring where it is and then with a full battalion of BM21 rockets taking out multiple grid squares? Aviation? THe quick answer on that is the SOVs are no longer crossing the FLOT with aircraft as that turned out to be too hazardous to their crews. They have all but surrendered control of the air over anything but friendly lines to the Ukrainians. Nope, I am certain that very little information's getting to the user in a timely manner. Probably zero as a matter of fact. If it was then a BTG could probably make it further than a single kilometer each time they throw themselves against the wall. ANd it is FIND ME ANOTHER 10 TANKS FOR TOMORROW time. Not seeing any evidence of Russian BM21 strikes being fired in the dark on any video, even the really hokey ones put out by the Chechens.... My guess is their crews are hunkered down and praying at night like the rest of the Sov army....
