@JRyan-lu5im the problem for putin is then he has a precarious logistical tail to supply his extended troops seiging Kiev. He already clogged the roads going forward. Can't wait until the Ukrainians start using command detonated ied on the supply routes. The Ukrainians in the city will starve, but so will the sieging forces. Going to be a grind, and if goes too long the other Russian oligarchs will solve their problem with putin- usually involving a 9mm round behind his ear as he walks past an open door.

@JRyan-lu5im reference your first note.😜 On your second. I invite you to review all of the video from the first three days of open source material. What will you find? Quite a bit of imagery of combat vehicles with no on board ammunition in evidence, also roads full of abandoned combat vehicles that show ever sign of being out of fuel. This is regardless of the fact they are within 50km of the international border. Now, that could result from several things 1.) Untrained crews who do not follow the universal "top off when the fueled comes by" rule. 2.) No fueler is available to top off from. Everything I see presents me with a situation in which the Russians simply assumed they would cross the border, the ukrainian government wod dissolve, and the army would surrender. That would explain the lack of on board ammunition and lack of logistical push packages forward. When the Ukrainians decided to fight it complicated the original.plan and now the the Russians are making it up as they go along. Interesting question. Why didn't the Russian marine amphibious landing at Odessa happen on day 1? Those forces were not in use elsewhere.. It was obviously not part of the plan.

@JRyan-lu5im but the russians also are famous for disregarding their intelligence if it does not fit preconceived notions. And putin being old kgb does not make him immune to this....

@matthewv789 a logistical train that doesnt move is simply consuming those supplies it has on board. Looking at the imagery it is obvious the have clogged that road 3 deep. Lead vehicles likely out of fuel. Rear can't get up to refuel them. This is why we were trained to do March seriels to keep the roads open.

@scottp2290 I think putin is testing the old russian thought process that casualties do not matter in russia. That is historically how it has always been. But maybe russia has advanced since the 1970's and casualties will matter to the towns and families of Mother Russia. After all, they have to grow up sometime....
