Beards? Weed? New PT? New food? Okay we adopt those and get maybe 300 more soldiers who are on the edge. It does not solve the key problem of trust in the administration and the Army. This current problem reminds me of the US Army during the Carter years. He made the largest pay increase in Army history but also caused for people to run for the exits with the Desert One debacle. No one trusted him that they were valued and appreciated. Also hurt that his side of the aisle was also the creeps who spit on returning Vietnam vets (and threw a pan of dirty slush on me in my class a uniform) Return the army to its core mission of fighting and winning our nations wars and trust will return. It took the Reagan administration and its policies to return respect for the military. Bring in someone who can separate the military from the social experimentation morass and say we will only use it in aupport of the needs of the American people.. And the sons and daughters of current and former soldiers will come back to the fold.
