  6.  @silviamunoz6863  the stopping of the war in Vietnam saving lives is totally debatable. In fact it is an apocryphal statement. You can make the case that more misery occurred after the fall of Saigon than ever occurred before. The killing fields of Cambodia, the re-education camps and the liquidation of the VC by the NVA probably killed far more south Vietnamese than were accidentally killed by US bombs.
