  1. The Hammys really screwed this up, and I suspect they know that. The Mullahs gave them cash and told them to kidnap as many innocent civilians as possible 7 October. The Mullahs are always seeking to relive their glory days of 1979, and seizing hostages would put them right back onto the world stage with maybe another 450 days of negotiations. But then the Hammys got excited and killed 1200 people. And now no negotiation is possible. Hostages are meaningless with such a scale of bloodbath of the innocent. If the hammys are able to extricate themselves from this nightmare scenario, they surely can't flee to Iran- they ruined the Mullahs hostage fiesta.
