@planetmikusha5898 true, but the Russians cannot afford a protracted war that reduces the potential for popation stability. Best example I can give is one side of my family is Scottish. The Scottish keep a record of all the members of the Clans. Pretty extensive documentation. The clan losses in WW1 run to about eight pages. The clan losses in WWII are contained in one page. When you do the analysis of that it tells you the outsized losses in WWI led to a shorting of potential fathers for the soldiers from the clan in WWII. The same thing has happened in Russia before and is happening again. Couple that wife fewer children being born in bad economic times which are ramping up and you see Russia us destined to have an escalating decline in population. And the Ukraine is not the only place Russia has to maintain a force. But as of three months ago the have been depleting forces from the Kaliningrad, Finnish, Georgian, Baltic, Mongolian, and far eastern borders to maintain BTGs in Ukraine . Of 170 BTGs in the Russian Army 140 have been committed to Ukraine. Bad days for Russia ahead.
