  3. More to it than that. As the federal forces fell back to the us border, the villista fire began to impact in Douglas. It was endangering US lives and getting worse. That was one of the contributing reasons to move one of the cambatants.

  5.  @eldangster1616  the culture of Mexico readily accepts and even triumphs in graft. This is universally common in former Spanish exploitation colonies.....(Mexico, El Salvador, Philippines, etc,)

  6.  @aldinewestfield5821  Patton made contact with three Villistas including a commander named Cardenas while out on a foraging mission. He was able to kill all three and bring the bodies draping the hood of his vehicle to allow for identification. Since at that point in the campaign the Villistas had been dispersed, one could make the case it was an exceptional effort.

  7.  @moiseschavez1447  rationale was to ensure future incursions could not occur again an to punish those who committed the atrocity in the first place. Check the block on both counts. A truthful telling of the situation would likely say that Villa was down to the low double digits from a force that numbered 500 during the raid on Columbus. Hiding under the beds of Southern Chihuahua had an impact after all....
