I wouldn't take money from a stranger, much less a homeless person. I also don't usually give them money, though I would buy them a meal.

@Daveoceanair I think we all judge to a certain extent. I don't think less of the homeless, they usually have serious issues and they need compassion. Money can help, sometimes, but they need real help. I think programs like the Alpha project are vital and I support them occasionally. I've known of a few cases where homeless have family that would/can help, but the mental illness is a huge factor. The person just can't be helped. It's very complicated.
