Not to mention how many kids would rather learn trade skills but are not given the opportunity in high school.

Yeah, I was wondering how they got all that info, like the bank info seemed pretty specific.

"At least %70 percent of California's population lives on the coast" 1:15 Yes and no. Maybe near the coast, but most people don't actually live on the coast itself. I would guess more like %5, if even that. Most of us live inland, we even have different weather. San Diego has 4 weather zones, coast, inland, mountains and deserts.

I haven't flown for years, looks like they've redesigned the trays. Everyone used to recline. I think it depends on the flight, if it's short then I could last without reclining. If there is someone big behind me, I'd try not to recline. But generally, I like to stretch out a little, so I used to always recline.

I have rags but I still use too many paper towels. So I need more rags. I did switch to dish rags, instead of sponges that stink. They wash just as well.

I'm too old now, but I never had kids, partly because I was scared of the pain. I think too many tv shows in the 80's/90's showed women going into labor and screaming, and that really scared me. I admire women that have children, and it amazes me that everyone that exists came into being that way. All that said, in my late 20's I was asked to be with Spanish speaking friends that were going to give birth in the hospital and needed me to translate. So I was there for a C-section, and there for a natural birth, (that one was tough), but it almost made me think maybe I could do it. I think it was wise of this mom to let her daughter be there since she wanted to be, so she could have that knowledge and experience.

Never heard of it but it looks dated.

I didn't catch if her bag still had her stuff in it...

I know, I wish I had known about it.

I wouldn't say it quite like that, but it felt a little bizarre to hear a heartwarming story and suddenly it's like an ad for Hawaii on Wheel of Fortune or something. But I bet they'll love it. The little kids should probably watch some old sitcom episodes where they go to Hawaii, like the Brady Bunch or Full House.

@saraallred4435 I was watching the older kids' faces, especially the girl, and she looked genuinely surprised and excited when they announced it. But I think it started to feel a little cheesy to her.

Great idea!

I've seen a lot of episodes, but I've never watched it from beginning to end. I've read the books countless times, learned so much from them.

People can visit Almanzo Wilder's boyhood home/farm in New York. I think Dean Butler is associated with it, too.

It seems to be a much bigger problem than we know.

One of them looks like Rick Steves, from the back.

I remember hearing about the danger of sand holes on the Today Show some years ago, as well as electrified piers in lakes and marinas. Last summer we were at a beach picnic and I saw kids were in a huge hole. I told the kids' parents, but they just didn't get how dangerous the holes are.

They're comforting to watch.

I don't think I've ever heard about this, didn't know who any of them are.

Vertigo is when the room starts spinning like a washing machine or a boat in a storm. It's much worse than dizzy.

I haven't seen it.

I like the basket idea
