  1. When I lived in Mexico it was hard to find clothes in general, but the ones sold in local stores were expensive and often poor quality. (I think I bought a new skirt at Coppel once, probably on sale.) Used clothes from the US were very popular because they were much more affordable and considered to be better quality. I bet nowadays the used clothing in Mexico market has taken a bit of a downturn considering all the bad quality clothing that's being sold in the US.
