  2. If he's married to the US citizen, then most likely they can apply for residency, which will be denied but then they can file for a waiver. We did that while living in Mexico, because we didn't want to be separated. It took us 7.5 years. The ban is for ten years, usually. His case may be different. I hope he can reunite with his family.
