And people would rather steal than work, especially if there's no consequences.

Their bodies wear out earlier, then they can't work and get depressed. They're used to being the providers. It's happening to my husband, he was in construction, then HOA maintenance, now a mechanic. He's tired and he's only 40 something. Not to mention, the heat is grueling on them.

It's a little more than a teachable moment.

I thought there was some mistake, that they thought she was someone else who was a danger, but no. She seems to have known about it, unless I misunderstood and she learned about not being allowed afterwards. If she had been a danger, we would all be glad that she wasn't allowed it. But because she wasn't, at least in the public's eyes, it seems wrong.

I wish there were more ways to narrow down results in searches. By years, or location, for example. And be able to turn off of sponsored results.

@jeffryan7262 That's what I was wondering. It seemed so obvious. But there's always two sides.

I'm sure they would. I had a "friend", not a close friend though, steal cigarettes from my mom when she spent the night at our place once. She also stole from stores. I didn't respect her after that.

Seeing this the same day that I watched the video of the old guy DUI driving into a nail salon at 70mph killing 4 people.

I don't pay any attention to them.

If someone has heat illness, they need to be cooled down right away. This video talks about how ambulances should carry ice to cool people down, before even transporting them to the hospital. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtdjjA2pZ-s&t=1s

Where in Mexico? Ah, Mexico City.

Nice interview. It's the journey not just the destination, though that can be great, too.

@katem.8816 For sure, this was decades ago, but I remember the disappointment.

I was thinking the same thing, when I was that age I don't think I knew what suicide even was. So sad for kids today.

Those first pictures look like Mission Trails within San Diego City, 00:08, while the Carrizo Gorge area is probably at 00:12 - there doesn't look like there's a trailhead, and it's much drier, not a lot of greenery out there. The area where this happened is really in the boonies, most people couldn't even get there, I've never been there. The old train from San Diego to Yuma used to go through there, and it's such rough terrain they have never fixed the tracks to start it up again.

Watch out for those deadly sneaker waves though

They say it at 1:21, but I agree, oftentimes the news only says Mexico without being specific which city or town.

Greyhound anyone?

I'm near SD, and have been sick for almost two weeks. Some kind of respiratory infection that started with a sore throat and is now congestion and mucus. No fever, no aches. Going to the doctor to see what it is/was. Fortunately, my family didn't get it and I was able to stay home and not spread it. People need to stay home.

I used to be on the good side at playing Tetris, but not that good!

I always think it's a dumb question, but when you just had some shocking experience, it helps the person to express what they saw or went through. I see a lot of local reporters asking that to get people to talk about what they saw.
2
If they used strobes the photos would look good!

Just to identify, at 2:19, that's Summer Stephan, San Diego County District Attorney.

Could planes have parachutes for times like this? I know it's probably ridiculous, but I wonder. Edit: I guess I'm not the first to think of it, it has been done for smaller planes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQyrPVIIQdE&pp=ygUTYWlycGxhbmUgcGFyYWNodXRlcw%3D%3D

I'm all for dress codes but this doesn't even break their own dress code.

Walmart has had self-checkouts for at least 5 years, how is this new? Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not. With a lot of groceries, it's hard to manage and bag all the groceries. A few purchases is fine. One thing I hate is when the scale insists you put each item on it before you can proceed to scan the next.

Insurance negotiates down the amount, uninsured people can't do that, especially when medical officers won't/can't tell you the visit price beforehand. Ridiculous.

@JK-lp6uw Yeah, I was thinking like portrait studio quality lighting, but I bet they use the bad lighting on purpose, so we can look at them like losers. But for ID purposes, the strobe lighting would probably be better.

We need more information as to why the city thinks it's fair. It's really great what he's done, but that can't be the only reason this is way too high of an increase.

I see typos and mistakes all the time, but usually there's no way to even notify them.

Tequila, Jalisco - the drink is named for the town

I only use mine when the neighbors have a loud party or when there's construction outside and I need to sleep.

Well I never...

Judges don't always get it right, but they are bound by law. He doesn't seem to recognize that.

@exeterd9 Clearly I don't. Enlighten me.

@GoliathsChamp I use the Google search engine and get basic results that I can't filter.

@wxyzenyc Great, how?
