Yes, I think we have to accept our discomfort with other people's differences. I have felt uncomfortable looking into people's eyes when one eye is "off", is it ok to ask how to look at them? Or is the eye that's looking at you the correct one for everyone? I feel like I'm leaving out the other eye. I would compare this type of situation to how to look at someone in a wheelchair or who is very obese. Do we not look at them so they're not stared at, or do we acknowledge them when normally we probably wouldn't? I know in Mexico as a foreigner I used to get extra attention sometimes, and it could be tiring.
