  1. From my experience, people don't even want to leave a less well off country like the Philippines to come to the US. That speaks volumes. Safety from persecution in the USA ... hah! Try being a male here. Sure, it's not genocide or camps like in some places, but the legal system is massively biased against men. A man can be imprisoned on the word of a woman alone, with no evidence. A man can be gutted financially at the whim of any woman with whom he was unfortunate enough to get into a relationship. If you're a white man, you are last in line for most jobs or opportunities. The media, culture and government are overtly hostile towards men. Property rights are a joke, considering the tax system.
