  3. Exactly. The managers and employees I see crowing "back to office" had narcissistic traits and wanted biological extras so they could star in their own dramas.

  4.  @Gandhi_Physique  To be fair back, the good managers I've had were all rock stars. So much better than their contemporaries that they made them look non-sentient. I would die on a hill for them, metaphorically speaking.

Corporate execs want people to come back in for two reasons: 1) many of them are cultic control freaks who want people physically present in order to more effectively manipulate and use them, and/or 2) they are extraverts and have been freaking out for the past few years because they are not getting their necessary people fix met. Everything else is whitewash.
